Our Family at the Painted Desert in 2010

This is our family! We’ve lived in Missouri, Texas, Japan, Arizona (which is where you see us in the picture above. If you’re heading through, the Painted Desert is an amazing piece of landscape) and now we live in Missouri once again!

I’m Melissa (the only girl in the picture, there) and I homeschool those four hooligans while my husband pursues a career in motorcycles. I’m a Latter-Day Saint – in other words, I’m a Mormon – and I have a long running crochet and craft blog that you can visit here. I’m also the editor of Crochetvolution!

This blog is dedicated to my efforts to teach my children, both religiously and academically, and finding the ways that those two things go together.

    Hi Melissa,

I just came across your blog and wanted you to know I think you’re a wonderful homeschooling mom. Keep up the amazing job you are doing with your sons.

    Hi Melissa,

Thanks for sharing your junior lessons and images/activities. I’m using some for my son’s study time of the Book of Mormon.

Hi- your blog and lesson plans are great. Thank you so much for sharing them. We homeschool in California, I’m LDS too, and I lay out my lessons in the exact same way online. Great minds think alike! I’m going to use your US Government course this next year — thank you! So often I am creating from scratch.

I’m glad to hear it will be of help to you – I’ve already used the Government course for two of my boys and I’m happy for it to be of more use.
