1. You are going to write a book report about “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” (Not an essay this time!) Begin by opening your document and reading all the sentences you wrote. This will help refresh your memory of the book.
2. Read about writing a book report. Choose what type of book report you are going to write. Are you going to write about the plot, the characters, or the themes of the book?
3. Create a new document. Title it, “Journey to the Center of the Earth Report.”
4. Today, write the introduction to your book report. (Read “How to Write an Introduction for a Book Report” for which parts to include.)

This is a very famous story, and it explores the idea that humanity has the capacity for both good and evil inside them. Today read the first part, “Story of the Door.”
