1. As computer technology advanced, so too did Star Wars games. From the side-scroller you played yesterday, Star Wars games moved up to first person ship shooters. A popular series of these games were produced for PC in the 1990s, from X-Wing, to TIE Fighter, to X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.
2. Watch a video of X-Wing gameplay.
3. You can attempt to play Star Wars: TIE Fighter online. I did not have much luck figuring out the controls. (An external mouse may solve some of the problems that I had.)

2. Read about its development and reception.
3. Try playing Star Wars: Dark Forces. On this game, you navigate with a combination of the arrow keys and the mouse. Press “Z” to shoot.

1. “Shadows of the Empire” was released on N64 in 1996, and for PC in 1997. Read about its reception and sales.
2. Watch the “movie” made up of all the cutscenes from Shadow of the Empire.

1. Before we move on to the prequel era, we are going to review the video game eras we have passed through so far. Today watch “The History of Star Wars video games: the 80s.

2. Try playing “Star Wars Chess.” Play at least until a piece gets captured. (Be patient. This game moves very slowly.) Click on the chess board at the bottom, then the red shape with two question marks and select human vs. computer unless you have someone to play with.
