Baby cattle are called calves. Calves are usually born in the late winter or early spring and can stand and walk as soon as they are born. They typically weigh between 55 and 90 pounds at birth. Calves drink milk from their mothers’ udders until they are about six months old. When a calf no longer drinks milk, we say that they are weaned.

Something to Think About
"Secular knowledge has eternal significance. We believe in and encourage education, but not for education's sake alone. We educate ourselves in the secular field and in the spiritual field so we may one day create worlds, people and govern them." - Spencer W. KimballSponsors
