1. Step one: run a spell-checker on your screenplay. While this will not catch every error, running a spell-check is the bare minimum that should be done in proofreading.
2. Go over the first quarter of your screenplay and look for errors. Remember, you are not rewriting or changing anything, just looking for misspellings, missed capitalization or punctuation, and proper formatting.
